This work is dedicated to the Italian painter and printmaker Giorgio Morandi, who specialized in still life. His paintings are noted for their tonal subtlety in depicting apparently simple subjects, which were limited mainly to vases, bottles, bowls, flowers and landscapes. Not compositing.
