Recently, I embarked on a new project portraying almost real vikings in a painterly way, mimicking the lighting of Dutch baroque painters. Great efforts have been made to enhance the texture of the clothing, the special natural colors of the handmade costumes. For me, it was almost as a child playing 'what if' - what if Rembrandt had lived during the Viking Age and what if he had brought his brushes and canvasses to portray the everyday viking.
