Country: United States 🇺🇸
I am a California-based photographer working primarily in black and white. My work explores stillness as a psychological state, using restrained portraiture, obscured vision, and subtle tension between the figure and its environment.
Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Saint Petersburg State University. My background in psychology strongly informs my photographic practice, particularly my interest in perception, emotional tension, and unresolved internal states. After working as a mixed media artist, I transitioned to photography, where ambiguity and interruption became central to my visual language.
I was a finalist in the LensCulture Art Photography Awards 2025, received a Gold Award at the Budapest International Foto Awards, and have exhibited internationally, including at MIRA Mobile B&W Street Photography in Porto and the B&W Athens Photography Festival.
