Trained artist, lapsed portrait painter, now obsessed with digital creation, the Renaissance and storytelling.
My obsession with creating images began in 1993 with a degree in fine art. I studied under Malcolm McClaren and John Peace.
I was drawn to creating portraits full of emotion and gesture that emerged from shadowy chiaroscuro. My use of photography was initially to gain clear detailed reference imagery for the painting studio, this evolved into the true joy of image capture via a lens with the added flourish of enhancing in digital software such as Photoshop.
I now teach creative photography and exhibit my work internationally.
