Yvette Zellerer (1968)
After graduating from the Amsterdam Photo Academy in 1999, I established myself as an independent portrait and illustrative photographer. In addition to commissioned work, my portfolio largely consists of creative personal work. Over the years my work has found its way to several art collections such as the collection of Stichting Beeldende Kunst Amsterdam & Breda and the Eneco Art Collection.

This photo of Thomas is part of the series 'Ik...jij...wij!' ('me...you...us!'), a long-term project in which I follow 13 children over a period of 15 years. It is a story about growing up, figuring out who you are and who you want to become, where you belong, the dreams you have and what comes of it.
Every five years, all children are portrayed and interviewed. The tell me their story about what they have experienced, how they feel about things and what they dream of. In this way a unique document is created about the development of this group of children into young adults who stand on their own two feet. In 2025 the 4th and final part will be created. The children will by then be 21 years old and ready to take on life as adults.
