Hester Blankestijn studied photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Since 1999 she worked as a professional commercial and art photographer for different clients mostly in the field of art and design.

Her personal projects explore still life photography with a classical visual language. She carefully mixes her love of birds, flowers and Dutch art history in her still life compositions. Her art photographs are sold and exhibited globally.
