ArtMoeT are Monique van Laake, photographer and visual artist, and Teun Anders, multidisciplinary artist — partners in life and in work, based in The Netherlands. They combine photography, painting, sculpture and digital techniques into layered visual narratives that explore the human face as a site of desire, fracture and transformation.
Their joint series Silence and Army of Lovers move between stillness and rupture, between the body that withholds and the self that insists on being seen. Photography is always the starting point — and never the limit.
Van Laake also works independently — portraits and fine art that begin where the pose ends.
Their work does not document. It excavates.
