Steve Wise (B.Env.Des RBI ) is a fine art portrait photographer and accredited Medical Photographer with AIMBI in line with his work as a Medical Photographer at Royal Perth Hospital. While concurrently running his own wedding and commercial photography business, he feeds his personal love of art and visual narrative through his fine art portraiture. Mostly personal projects, Steve’s portraits often call on aspects of his working life and the people he meets to prompt creative ideas – matching up a concept with a subject, and letting it takes it’s own course. He collaborates regularly with local Aboriginal youth networks and continues to work on his portrait series involving the collection housed in the Royal Perth Hospital Museum – placing some of the equipment out of context into contemporary fine art portraits.

Steve is an Australian Ambassador for Epson Australia.
He is the 2018 AIPP Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year; 2016, 2014 & 2012 WA AIPP Portrait Photographer of the Year and was the Winner of the 2015 Fremantle International Portrait Prize. He was also a Finalist in the 2016 National Photographic Portrait Prize.
