Ashane Marasinghe is a nature and wildlife photographer originally from Sri Lanka, now based in Finland. He began his photographic journey in 2013, inspired by a profound appreciation for the natural world and a passion for visual storytelling. In 2014, he earned an Advanced Diploma in Photography from the National Association of Photographers – Sri Lanka (NAPSL), laying a strong foundation for his artistic and professional development.

Ashane holds the EFIAP/b distinction (Excellence FIAP Bronze), awarded by the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) in France—an international recognition of his consistent success in global photography salons. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades from prestigious photographic institutions worldwide.

Specializing in wildlife and conservation photography, Ashane’s work explores the intricate relationship between humans and nature. His images have been featured in internationally renowned publications such as National Geographic Italia, GEO, VIEW Magazine, and Sanctuary Asia. His photographs have also been exhibited at leading international photography festivals and contests, earning both critical acclaim and public admiration.
