Andrea Bettancini

Country: Italy 🇮🇹

All my education was focused on creativity, starting with art school and later pursuing the fashion department at IED in Milan. I worked as a designer for various clothing brands in Milan and also collaborated with an architecture magazine of the Mondadori group.

Photography has always been a passion of mine, dating back to the days of analog photography with nights spent in the darkroom working with acidic basins. I have a preference for reportage, street photography, and photographic storytelling in general. I enjoy merging and blending images to create a non-analytical visual language.

I have achieved several accolades in the field of photography. I was a finalist in the professional documentary section of the Sony Awards 2022, won the ND Awards 2022 in the long exposures category, and was a finalist in the Urban Photo Awards 2022/2023 (portfolio). Additionally, I was a finalist in the World Water Day competitions in 2019 and 2022 and won the All About Photo The Mind’s Eye 2023. I am also awaiting the final results for the Gomma Black & White Awards 2023. Moreover, I have been recognized as the best author at the main Italian FIAF competitions, including Follonica, Golden chip, Cameri, Murlo, and Brugine.
