Reiny Bourgonje is a Dutch photographer known for her powerful, narrative portraits. After a career of over thirty years in the banking sector, she decided to follow her passion and focus entirely on photography. With her distinctive style, in which emotion, light, and stillness come together, she has gained national and international recognition. Her work has been awarded prizes in various photography competitions and exhibited both at home and abroad, including solo exhibitions at Museum Heerenveen. Bourgonje draws inspiration from classical painting and gives it a contemporary photographic interpretation.
