Pedro Jarque Krebs is an award-winning photographer born in Lima, Peru. He graduated in Philosophy of Sciences at the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 1983 he won the first prize of the Municipality of Lima for black and white photography. Since then, Jarque Krebs has received more than 200 international awards and recognitions. Among them are Siena Creative Award (Italy) category winner in 2020 and 2021, five times winner at the Sony World Photography Awards (2016, 2018, 2019, 2019, 2021, 2022), Bird Photographer of the Year 2018 overall winner (UK), Oasis Photo Contest (Italy) 1st Prize in 2017, Top 10 Photographers of the World at the Sente Antu Award in China in 2017.
In 2021 he was a finalist in the prestigious Hasselblad Masters competition.
He was named "Photographer of the month" by National Geographic France in October 2016. In 2019 the prestigious German publisher teNeues has published a book of his work entitled "Fragile", which received several international awards, including 1st prize at the International Photography Awards.
