Country: Netherlands 🇳🇱
I am a fine art photographer from the Netherlands, based in Landsmeer. Besides photography I work in health care as a physio- and manual therapist. Photography is my escape from the fast paced life we lead.
In 2015 I enrolled in a professional training for photography. It was here that I discovered that I enjoyed landscape photography above all other forms of photography, except perhaps portraiture photography. Later on I also got interested in architecture- and still life photography.
I also discovered that within photography there are two main choices to be made: do you use photography as a means of documenting the world or do you create a photograph as you envision it?
Funny enough and most unexpectedly, I noticed that my work took on a more creative approach towards photography over the years, as opposed to the more documentary style I used before 2015.
With my photography I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder in a very busy and hectic world for others to enjoy. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for a tranquil composition I hope to find my own peace of mind.
