Born in 1977 he grew up in northern Germany on the Baltic Sea. Before joining DER SPIEGEL as a picture editor in 2005, he was a freelance picture editor for various magazines. He plans and conceptualizes in the field of portrait, reportage and still-life for digital and print projects with a narrative and humanistic focus.
