Nicholas Wesson has been working seriously with a camera for the past fifteen years, including a decade immersed in the energy of the music scene, producing work for websites, magazines, and agencies. That experience shaped a strong visual instinct and an eye for the moment.
Since 2020, his practice has taken a more reflective turn. Inspired by the work of Chris Killip and Graham Smith, both known for their powerful documentation of life in the north east of England, Nicholas has shifted his focus toward documentary photography.
His current work explores the changing character of post-industrial landscapes close to home. Through a thoughtful and observant approach, he aims to capture not just places, but the subtle traces of history, community, and transition embedded within them.
