Grégory Pol

Country: France 🇫🇷

At the age of 12, Grégory POL imagined himself joining Captain Cousteau's team aboard the Calypso...
His dreams of adventure led him to join the French Navy in August 1995, where he became a navigator and diver. In 2018, he was a navigation instructor at the Ecole Navale when he decided to give up his military career to devote himself entirely to photography.
Now a photographer with a passion for nature and adventure, Grégory Pol has published several books and contributed to the illustration of several others. Most are devoted to the sea, the animal world or adventure.
Grégory teaches in schools about his passion for photography, biodiversity and adventure, and also acts as an ambassador for the sea (under an agreement between the Fondation de la mer and the French Ministry of Education) to explain to children the importance of the oceans.
His exhibitions on the theme of nature are presented at specialist festivals and in art galleries in France and abroad, helping to establish a dialogue with viewers on the urgent need to take action to preserve the animal world. His articles are published in the ‘nature’ press and he is often called upon by French television channels.
